Just to add a little history.

The Kamloops Heritage Railway in Kamloops, British Columbia provides rail tours with a KHR #2141 2-8-0
restored steam locomotive as a highlight of the rail line. There are historical reenactments of railroad
operations and a famous train robbery that took place early in the twentieth century

VIA Rail F40PH Locos # 6437 and 6447

These two F40PH locomotives were a team hauling Train #2, the transcontinental passenger service from Vancouver to Toronto in 1997. The train derailed due to a overheated and failed traction motor bearing on Loco #6447, near Biggar, Saskatchewan. The ensuing train wreck resulted in one death and numerous injuries. Via Loco #6447, along with some of the passenger cars, was retired because of its damage.
The models are Life-Like with Micro-Trains couplers, each has a Digitrax DN-121 decoder installed.

Tyco #638 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive

Here is a bit of departure from the N Scale Locos of this page. This is a Tyco HO scale train from the 1970s era. It belonged to my son-in-law but was recently dug out of storage and given to my grand-son. He brought it to show me and we discovered that the engine wheels were frozen and the motor would not run. The (pot-metal) frame for the engine drivers had become soft and brittle. Luckily, after an extensive search on the internet, I was able to find some replacement parts. It now looks and runs like a brand new Tyco train should.
